As an experienced finance executive in the biotech, manufacturing, and communications industries, Craig Hooson leverages his extensive experience in financial reporting, SEC reporting, technical accounting, and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls to help turn around struggling companies and deliver excellent oversight for financial departments. During his long career, Craig Hooson has maintained a record of 100 percent on-time SEC filings, while successfully overseeing complicated financial transactions such as IPO filings.
Most recently, Craig Hooson served as the divisional Chief Financial Officer and Corporate Controller for Chemtura, one of the world’s leading chemical manufacturing companies. Hired to turn around a struggling division being investigated for financial irregularities, Mr. Hooson successfully implemented SOX controls and other management processes, which helped improve operating performance and increase earnings. In addition to overseeing SOX controls for the company, he held responsibility for global auditing procedures, financial planning, and cash forecasting.
A licensed CPA, Craig Hooson holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering from the University of Southampton, a master’s degree in finance from Johns Hopkins University, and an MBA from Pepperdine University. He has also completed professional development programs at Duke University, Michigan State University, and INSEAD.
